Course Information

Valero Meraux Site Specific is the site-specific orientation course for the Valero Meraux Refinery (formerly Murphy Oil) in Meraux, LA.

NOTES
1) Students must have a currently valid ARSC card (BOP/BOPR) prior to taking this course.
2) This course must be completed within 2 hours. If the trainee does not complete the course in this time, they will receive a score based on the amount of test questions that were answered.

EXCEPTION
A “California Basic Card/BATT” with valid date is accepted in lieu of the ARSC BOP/BOPR card for Plant Performance Services.

 

Recommended For

All construction and contracted maintenance and services personnel who will be working at this site.

Course Expiration: 1 Year from Class Date
Passing Score Required: 80 % – if a test question is missed, it is reviewed but not asked again
Retakes Allowed: Yes, 1 retake allowed; additional retakes require prior approval from Valero Meraux; must pay for each retake
Language: English
Reader Assistance Allowed: No
ID Requirements: Students must present a valid (not expired) U.S. State or Federal ID with photo and separate Social Security card if the SSN is not on the ID – No Exceptions.
Handouts: Upon successful completion, the student will receive the Valero Meraux Contractor Handbook at the refinery.
Course Exceptions: Exceptions can be made by Valero Meraux Management only
