Confined Space (ARSC)

Course Information

Confined Space (ARSC) was developed by the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils (ARSC) to provide entrants, attendants, entry supervisors, and persons who test or monitor the atmosphere in permit and non-permit required confined spaces with an overview of 29 CFR 1910.146, OSHA's Permit-Required Confined Space Standard, and 1926 Subpart AA.

This class is reciprocal with the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils (ARSC).

NOTE: This training does not certify the student to be an Entry Supervisor.

All employees who enter, test, or monitor confined space work activities.

 

Course Content

This course is designed to train employees on how to protect themselves and others while working in confined space environments.

 

The course includes discussion of the following topics:

  • Permit vs. Non-Permit Confined Spaces
  • Perform Entry and Exit from Confined Spaces
  • Role of Entrant, Attendant, and Entry Supervisor
  • Atmospheric Testing
  • Using Tripods and Fall Protection
  • Methods of Communication
  • Training
  • Rescue Services
