Hydrofluoric Acid (HF) Safety Awareness is an awareness level course to learn the hazards of hydrofluoric acid in the workplace.

 

Recommended For

All employees working around or who may come in contact with HF (pipelines, drilling, refineries, etc.).

 

Course Content

This course raises awareness of hydrofluoric acid in the workplace by covering the following topics:

  • OSHA requirements for process safety management
  • Precautions to take when working with HF
  • Selection and use of proper PPE
  • Emergency procedures
  • Symptoms of exposure and target organs
  • Spill response
  • Storage

NOTE: Employers must cover details of the company-specific Hazcom program and specific chemical and material hazards found on the worksite.
