Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) Safety Awareness is an awareness level course to learn the hazards of hydrogen sulfide in the workplace.

 

Recommended For

All employees working around or who may come in contact with H2S (pipelines, drilling, refineries, etc.).

 

Course Content

This course explains the properties of hydrogen sulfide, where it occurs, and its effects on humans by covering the following topics:

  • Properties and locations
  • Identification and dispersion
  • Selection and use of proper PPE
  • Proper handling and disposal of H2S
  • Toxicity and effects of exposure

NOTE: Employers must cover details of the company-specific Hazcom program and specific chemical and material hazards found on the worksite.
