Respiratory Protection (ARSC)

Course Information

Respiratory Protection (ARSC) was developed by the Association of Reciprocal Safety Councils (ARSC) to present the general requirements of OSHA’s Respiratory Standard 29 CFR 1910.134.

NOTE:  Some additional training may be necessary to meet actual job and site-specific requirements.

 

Recommended For

All construction and contracted maintenance and services personnel involved in working in environments with potential exposure to airborne contaminants.

 

Course Content

This course includes discussion of the following topics:

  • Requirements of OSHA’s Respiratory Standard
  • Components of a Respiratory Protection Program
  • Types of Respirators and Respirator Selection
  • The Medical Evaluation and Fit Test
  • Use, Maintenance, and Care of Respirators
